About Us
Tiny House Advocate was founded by Karen Flett, a designer, author and passionate advocate for small-space living.
With over 15 years of experience across residential architecture, feature-film set design and publishing, Karen brings a wealth of creative and technical expertise to the tiny house movement.
Karen holds a Master of Architecture (Professional) from Victoria University of Wellington, where her research focused on legalising Tiny Homes on Wheels in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Driven by a passion for innovative, well-designed and affordable small-space housing, Karen established Tiny House Advocate to turn research into action and champion a future where Tiny Homes on Wheels are a safe, legal and accessible housing choice.
